High Value Inv. At and After CSS Brochure DP3 Brochure Post Move Survey
Please go to ../Personal+Property/ to fill out your Customer Satisfaction Survey. If you have forgotten your password email icss@eta.sddc.army.mil. “The customer survey process is simple. During a Service Members counseling session, the PPSO will establish an account in the CSS application. The CSS application will generate a password for the Service Member and email it to his or her email address on file. It is very important that the DoD Customer provide the PPSO with an origin, in-transit and/or destination email address. After the Service Member receives his or her shipment, he or she may proactively access and complete the survey via the SDDC website (www.sddc.army.mil) using the user ID and password established during the initial counseling session, or wait to receive an e-mail with survey instructions, password and a link to the survey web page. To ensure that Service Members complete their CSS, SDDC may send them up to 3 email reminders 7, 14 and 21 days after their shipment arrives at destination. Customers who do not complete their surveys on-line may be contacted by telephone by an SDDC Customer Services Representative (CSR). During the call, the CSR will walk the customer through the questions contained on the survey and record his or her responses.” |

Moving Tips for Military Members Pro Gear Please separate out your professional gear and books prior to your packing date. This will make it easy for our packers to label these items as such. Attics / Crawl Spaces Crawl spaces must be emptied by the member. If space is a concern than the SOP is that we will pack what is in the room first then have the crawl space emptied. Pictures / wall-hangings All wall-hangings must be removed from the wall by the member. Please allow us the opportunity to request this to be done at a specific time after we have arrived if you live in quarters where space is not abundant. Firearms Record all serial numbers on firearms and give the list to the driver and the personnel preparing your inventory. Firearms cannot be recorded as such on the box, but should be labeled as “sporting goods.” Items not to be moved If you have items you do not want us to pack please have them in a “do not ship” room or area and marked as such, or, have them out of the house. If you have furniture that is not to be moved make sure the movers are aware of this. Special Servicing Front Load Washing Machines – Front load washing machines will be serviced by 3rd party upon approval by the T.O. You must request connection and de-servicing from the destination T. O.! Crates – Crating authorization is extremely limited and only allowed on a case by case basis. Most items can be packed in corrugated cardboard. Wooden crates are rarely authorized because of their cost and the fact that weight is added to your shipment. Plasma / LCD TV’s – The best way to transport these items besides a crate is the original packaging. In lieu of that we have a specially designed flat screen TV box. Gas Engines – Drained of both oil and gasoline. This includes lawnmowers, trimmers, edgers, weed eaters, etc. Motorcycles need to be drained of gas and fuel tank must be accessible. Items to Disconnect – All electronics. All appliances. Weight machines, exercise equipment, gym equipment, to the point where carrying it through a doorway is made possible. Electronics – Please create a list of serial numbers for computers, TV’s, VCR’s, Dvd players, etc. Plastic Bins – The packers have a few options on plastic bins. The first is to empty the bin into a box and then stack the empty bins together. The second is to place the entire bin inside of a box. The third is to wrap the bin in a paper pad and apply tape on the pad. If you are planning on packing plastic bins we ask you to only pack light and non-breakable items. Items we cannot ship: Food Items – No perishable items can be moved. Canned goods, dry goods, unopened liquid shortening, spices, are allowed. Flammables / Explosives / Pressurized items – Including gunpowder, propane tanks (even purged), aerosol cans, lighters, matches, rubbing alcohol, ammunition. Living Things – Plants, pets, trees, slugs, gypsy moths, in-laws, kids. Paint. |
